Multicolored text is often pretty, especially when it fits your graphic You can also make signatures with just the gradient text and transparent background.
1. First, open a new window, or a graphic, and write something with the text tool (B). I wrote with Impact, 72 pt (see). The color doesn't matter.
2. Right click on the text layer and choose Blending Options.
3. Choose Gradient Overlay, and click on the black bar's arrow. Choose the gradient you want (See example).
4. Not bad, huh?
