Image masking

In this tutorial I will show you how to do image masking. It's fairly easy to do, and the results can be really cool, and you can even use it to make large layouts. This is what we'll be making now;

1. Open this photo in Photoshop.

2. Make a new layer, Shift + Ctrl + N. Choose the color black, and use these brushes to create the shape you see on the picture. Make sure that this shape is entirely black, so you might have to press the brushes more than once.

3. Now, drag this layer under the picture. Right click on the picture and select Create Clipping Mask. And there you go! I saved it as PNG to get it transparent.
