Using and loading actions

There are lots of photoshop actions out there for you to download, which makes you able to make awesome picture effects in matter of seconds. You can also make your own actions do distrubate, or just make it easier to use the same effect on many pictures.

1. First I'll teach you how to make an action. In Photoshop, when you have a picture open that you're going to edit, go to Window > Actions. A window will apear.

2. Click on the arrow, and choose New Set. A folder will open, and you can rename it. Make sure this folder is marked, then click the arrow again and choose New Action. From now, all your editions to the picture, be it layers of color, adjustments layers - anything, will be saved.

3. Make the picture effect you want. If you do anything you don't want to be saved in your action, click the little square in the Actions box called Stop playing/recording. Then you can mark the actions you want deleted, and delete them. Then click the circle Record to proceed. When you're done, click stop.

4. Now that you got everything recorded, mark the set in which the actions are, click the arrow and Save actions.

5. Now you can use it on any picture. Open the picture, go to actions and mark the action (first line under the set name), and hit play!

6. To use actions you have downloaded, go to the arrow and choose Load actions. Find it and upload it, then you can press play just like you did in step 5.
